Roland's original TB-303 Bass Line synth was capable of producing fat bass lines. Following in its footsteps is the TB-03, a compact synth module designed for use with Roland's Boutique system. Unlike the original, the TB-03 features an LED display with 4 characters making advanced programming much simpler than before. There are a wide variety of parameters, including tuning, cut off, resonance, envelope mod, decay and accent that can be adjusted using the relevant knobs. Just like the original, sawtooth and square bass synth sounds form the basis of the TB-03 for the fattest bass lines.
TB-03: versatile bass
Overdrive, delay and reverb effects are included so that you can add a little bit extra to your bass sound. As well as the pitch and time modes, there's a new step mode with tempo control. When it comes to connectors, Roland has included a trigger input, a MIDI in/out, a USB port and a CV/Gate so that you can control analogue equipment and modular synths, as well as DAWs. The TB-03 can be played using its 13 keys, or in combination with Roland's separately-available K-25m keyboard. If you're a fan of retro sounds and/or fat bass lines, then Roland's TB-03 Bass Line Boutique synthesizer module is something for you.
