General
Pioneer's XDJ-1000MK2 is the successor to the popular XDJ-1000. This new-and-improved version was developed relatively quickly after the release of the XDJ-1000 to ensure the brand stays up to date on the all the latest technological developments. Its subtle improvements enhance the usability of this practical, compact tabletop player for both amateur and professional DJs who don't require all the functions of a top-level player.
The XDJ-1000MK2: Updates
The improvements made to the XDJ-1000MK2 aren't especially ground-breaking, which is a good thing. The characteristic features of this player have remained intact, but the changes are definitely worth mentioning. For starters, the rear now has a digital output next to the analogue RCA outputs, which replaces the fader start function. The navigation to the right of the touch screen has been revamped in Nexus style with a large, backlit rotary navigation knob, making browsing in the dark even easier. On the left of the touch screen, you'll find some extra buttons for accessing Time Code and Auto Cue functions. Right underneath, you'll find a compact button to activate quantize. What's more, the XDJ-1000MK2 has been prepared for Rekordbox's newest functions, including the colour-coding waveform that gives certain frequencies a specific colour so you can find the passages you need in a flash.
Team Up the XDJ-1000MK2
The XDJ-1000MK2 is great in combination with all kinds of peripheral equipment. At heart, it's a Rekordbox player that works via USB and that can be linked to a second unit. However, because DJs want to make the most of their gear these days, the XDJ-1000MK2 is also equipped with a USB port so you can connect it to your laptop or computer. That way, you can use this player in HID mode to drive your software and retrieve your audio using the same USB connection. You won't need any separate audio interfaces, as the XDJ-1000MK2 will transfer the data directly to your mixer.

Heb hem naast twee XDJ1000 MK1's staan en zoals je mag verwachten bedient de MK2 nog weer een stuk soepeler. Ik ben er zeer tevreden mee en kan deze speler, indien je opzoek bent naar een full size, zeker aanbevelen.
