The V-4EX is equipped with a large, touch-screen colour display and no fewer than four HDMI inputs for interference-proof, crystal-clear images. Roland V-4EX: Advanced Simplicity

The V-4EX distinguishes itself by the simplicity of its operation. The number of controls is limited and you'll quickly familiarise yourself with the interface. The large colour touch screen allows for quick control by means of sub menus, so transitions and effects are quickly and easily added. As such, the V-4EX is great for live mixing, providing professional, subtle and smooth transitions and effects for your visuals. The large T-bar controller functions as a stable video fader that creates smooth, stutter-free transitions between your images. It is also possible to apply a fade-to-white or fade-to-black effect, by means of the Output Fade knob.

Transitions and Effects

Regardless of the type of video input, the V-4EX offers you more than 250 different transition effects. From simple fades to artistic, creative transitions: with a few pushes of a button they are all within range. The V-4EX also puts a number of high-grade effects at your disposal. Think for instance of Picture-in-Picture or Chroma Key. This compact video mixer enables you to get grand visual results. Video signals can be connected via BNC, RGB/component, S-Video and HDMI. A MIDI input and output allow you to connect the V-4EX to supporting (Roland) equipment, giving you additional control over the mixer and the option to synchronise.
