The BETA 87C condenser microphone is the perfect answer to the demand for professional microphones: such a warm and natural sound is not often found on a wireless microphone! Thanks to the cardioid pickup pattern, the risk of feedback is limited, while the advanced shockmount system and internal pop filter ensure superior reduction of handling noise and wind and breathing noise! With this microphone, you can bring studio quality audio and a warm, clear reproduction of vocals with you, wherever you go.
Shure's ULX series distinguishes itself in a few ways. Different settings can be locked, for instance, but there is more! Before your sound can be wirelessly transferred, the signal usually needs to be compressed first. Compressing the signal can lead to damage, however, as it also needs to be decompressed at the receiving end. Luckily, the ULX series has a more efficient way of compressing and decompressing the signal and therefore there is less signal loss. This results in a higher sound quality!
With the SLX series, you can use 12 systems simultaneously, but with the ULX series there is no limit! This makes the ULXP4 a great player that is used enthusiastically by sound technicians for live applications as well as for fixed installations!
The difference between the Beta 87A and 87C is the pickup pattern: the Beta 87A has a super-cardioid pickup pattern, whereas the 87C has a cardioid pattern. Chances therefore are that the 87A will suffer less feedback, but the user will have to sing straight into the microphone as sound from the sides is not picked up. The 87C does not require such expertise, but it is a little more sensitive to feedback.
