General

The Electro Harmonix 12AT7 (also ECC81) is a renowned preamp vacuum tube that is often used when there’s no need for heavy power. Compared to the 12AX7, its larger counterpart, it has a lower output. The 12AT7 is often used as a phase splitter or as a buffer in an active FX loop, and can easily replace the 12AX7. The EHX vacuum preamp tube offers an articulated, tight tone.
