If the volume or tone knob of your guitar or bass has worked lose, dropped off and gone missing; you're polishing of a self-build model; or sprucing up an old one, you'll be able to find the right replacement pot covers right here.
Guitar Pot Covers
Almost every electric guitar or bass on the planet will have at least one volume or tone potentiometer - otherwise known as a pot which is covered with a plastic or metal knob which can be twisted back and forth to adjust the setting. Guitar knobs can come finished with a set of markers labelled one to ten, some come in different colours, and others have no markings at all - just dial in your settings on intuition. Some guitar and bass brands also make their own exclusive pot covers, and while most tone and volume pots have a single cover, you can also get concentric pots where a smaller knob is stacked on top of a bigger knob to offer two controls while taking up the space of one. Also, if your pickup switch cap has gone missing, you can find one to replace it in our dedicated pickup switch section.
Replacement Guitar Pot Cover
When it comes to guitar maintenance jobs, changing the pot covers is maybe the easiest going. Most of the time, it's simply a case of carefully pulling off the old knob and slotting on the new one. Sometimes the cover is secured in place with a side-screw, which will need loosening before you can remove it. When you're replacing your knobs, just make sure that your new ones are definitely compatible with your model.
