General
Clavia Nord's Stage 2 HA88 features the newest sound technology in the piano, organ and synthesizer. The piano section is equipped with string resonance, dynamic pedal noise and a fully replaceable piano memory, which is two times as large as that of the Nord Stage EX and is compatible with the free Nord v5 Piano library. The organ section features the same tone wheel and transistor organ modelling that you'll find on the C2 Organ, together with a newly developed rotary speaker model.
Synthesis
The synthesizer section features and arpeggiator, in addition to Nord sample playback functionality. It has enough memory for 120 sounds from the Nord Sample Library, including Mellotron and Chamberlin samples. Furthermore, Nord Stage 2 users can also create their own samples by mapping sound files in .wav format with the Nord Sample Editor. You'll find that the Stage 2 has inherited some great features from the Nord Wave, such as its analogue style, digital waveforms and FM synthesis.
Technology
Additional functions include MIDI via USB, a monitor input, MIDI sync for the global master clock and master clock synchronisation for LFO, arpeggiator and delay. With the performing musician in mind, this instrument was designed in such a way that the control panel offers direct access to all of the most important functions, and all of the settings are in direct sight. Finally, the single-function buttons and assignable selectors provide impressive ease of use.

Ik lees dat je de Nord stage 88 gebruikt in combinatie met de Spider. Ik gebruik zelf ook de Spider en ben van plan de Nord stage 88 ter kopen. Is de Spider sterk/stevig genoeg om daar een Nord stage 88 op te leggen?
J'ai choisi ce clavier car il est 3 en 1, orgue, piano (acoustique, et electriques) et une partie sample et synthétiseur.
J'en avais assez de remplir les camions de backline et surtout de les décharger. Le toucher est bien calibré pour jouer ces 3 instruments à la fois.
L'intérêt des produits Nord est la mise à jour de leur bibliothèque de sons et leur capacité à se mixer dans un groupe.
C'est pour moi la référence des claviers de scène.

Dit ding is een hemel voor iedere toetsenist op aarde, en vervangt gemakkelijk alles wat je in huis hebt als keyboardist.
De voordelen van dit ding zijn letterlijk onopnoembaar, maar deze springen er voor mij uit:
+ Geweldige morph features, die te bedienen zijn met zowel een 'morph wheel', een effectenpedaal, en of after touch
+ Compact
+ Aangename touché
+ Input naar headphone-kanaal
+ Ongelooflijke externe sectie, waarmee je op het instrument zelf probleemloos externe MIDI-instrumenten kan besturen
+ Hemelse piano's, en beste Hammond B3-emulatie die je ooit zal vinden, met draw bars en Lesley speaker
+ Mogelijkheid om zelf geluiden te ontwerpen
+ Mogelijkheid om zelf en helemaal gratis honderden geluidspatches van de Nordsite te downloaden en naar eigen voorkeur over de verschillende banken (piano en of synth) van deze piano in te delen
+ Duidelijke en snelle hands-on bediening (layers, splits, effecten etc. met één enkele druk op de knop)
+ Panic button, die levens redt wanneer het fout loopt (ik heb hem al gebruikt bij een haperende pedaal in de studio, en hij werkt uiteraard zoals beloofd: hij zendt een 0-signaal naar alle toetsen, waardoor elk geluid direct ophoudt. Je kan echter direct verderspelen)
Waarom deze piano geen 5 sterren krijgt van mij:
- Bepaalde functies zijn enkel bruikbaar met de 'Triple Pedal', die niet bijgeleverd, en naar mijn mening overprijsd is.
- Er is voor mij veel te weinig geheugen vrij om samples (strijkers, synths, blazers ...) op het instrument te zetten.
- Splits kunnen niet exact vastgelegd worden, wat voor de koning der stage piano's in mijn ogen belachelijk is.
- Layers kunnen 2 orgels, piano's en of synths bevatten, maar nooit 6 synths, of 4 synths en twee piano's etc. Dit is jammer.
- De polyfonie bij grote layers is beroerd, maar die kan uitgebreid worden
Finale review: jazzers, kopen die shit! Voor pop- en rockmuzikanten die graag grote layers en splits maken: kopen die shit, MAAR koop er nog een MIDI rack of een tweede piano bij om via de externe bank op de piano te bedienen voor uitgebreidere layers. Mijn favorieten zijn de Korg Kronos X-, de Yamaha Motif XF-, en de Roland Fantom G-series, en die zijn allemaal bij Baxshop te verkrijgen aan droomprijzen. Ikzelf speel momenteel met een tweede keyboard op het Spider Pro-statief van K&M (Baxshop uiteraard), en ik geef mijn Nord nooit meer af!
