With the G2 Four, Zoom present a sharply priced multi-effects unit that gives you access to a wide range of realistic guitar sounds and effects like chorus, vibrato, phaser, flanger and rotary. We're talking about 79 iconic guitar effects of which as many as seven can be used at the same time, where it's even possible to determine the order of the signal chain for extra variation. In addition, you get 22 amp and speaker cab simulations based on multi-layer IR technology, giving you more than enough options to travel back to the 1905s or dial in custom 21st-century sound.

The Zoom G2 Four: A Great Tool for Rehearsals and Gigs

The Zoom G2 Four comes loaded with no less than 250 factory presets, plus another 50 user presets so you can either select a ready-made sound profile or create and call up your own. Another welcome feature is the collection of 68 built-in drum patterns, which make this multi-effects processor a handy practice tool. The G2 Four even has a built-in looper that offers a maximum recording time of 80 seconds so you can jam over your own backing track, and it's been thoughtfully polished off with an ever-handy AUX input, a headphone jack and a tuner.

Wrote the following about Zoom G2 Four Multi-Effects Processor

Ik heb veel verschillende mfx pedaaltjes geprobeerd (boss GT-1, zoom G5-N, pod express, ampero stomp 2, ampero en ampero mini, nux mg300). Daarnaast veel verschillende versterkers gehad waaronder buizen. Buizen versterkers blijven fantastisch, maar zijn ook erg omslachtig, zeker als je in een coverband speelt en verschillende geluiden moet produceren. Dit pedaal blijft echter mijn favoriet. Reageert net als een buizen versterker door de multi layer IR. Daarnaast is hij ontzettend simpel in gebruik, maar wel een beetje traag. De tuner werkt heel prettig en is precies, fijner dan de eerder genoemde pedaaltjes. De app is een uitkomst, misschien zelfs een must, maar helaas wel betaald. Ook is het perse nodig om een camera adapter naar lightning te gebruiken om hem op je iPhone aan te sluiten. Tip: gebruik analoge overdrive pedaaltjes in plaats van de digitale die zijn ingebouwd. Ik kwam erachter dat het pedaaltje heel goed overweg kan met analoge pedaaltjes. De ingebouwde drive pedaaltjes klinken wat schel en “voelen” niet als het echte werk. Echt een absolute aanrader en naar mijn idee erg onder gewaardeerd!!

Wow!
Ik ben verbaasd over de kwaliteit van dit apparaat. Hij mag dan van plastic zijn, maar deze multi FX bank is meer dan wat je ziet.

Eerst het negatieve:
Het programmeren gaat tergend langzaam op het scherm, en blijft soms een beetje hangen. Hopelijk verbetert dit in huidige updates. Ook de Android app vind ik (nog)niet goed werken.

Maar de geluiden zijn super realistisch! Ik heb het gevoel dat ik op buizenversterkers speel.

Het is belachelijk makkelijk om er een goed geluid uit te krijgen.

ZELFS door koptelefoon...
Door de AIR echo en nog een bepaald effect (naam kwijt, staat ergens bij modulatie) kun je eenvoudig een soort van sim/stereo effect produceren.

Ik heb heel wat banken gehad. Boss, Line6, Mooier, Nux, Digitech, etc.

Maar dit is tot nu toe m'n favoriete multiFX in de lagere prijsklasse.
