General
This unit is called the Zeppelin Air with good reason. And that good reason is the special construction. Even though the Zeppelin Air looks so extremely stylish, Bowers & Wilkins have done all in their power to ensure optimal sound reproduction, as well as wonderful user-friendliness. Listening to music should be as easy as possible, of course, without bothersome cables and settings. With its iPod dock, analogue inputs, AirPlay and remote control, the Zeppelin Air is super functional.
Technical details of the Zeppelin Air
The Zeppelin Air features an iPod dock, in which you can easily mount your iOS device. Do you prefer keeping your device with you while you’re walking about? You can also use the wireless AirPlay function to stream your music. A set of high-quality drivers produces the audio of the Zeppelin Air. These are operated by an artificial brain and a rugged amp module. A high-quality DAC ensures digital to analogue conversion of the incoming signal. Subsequently, the DSP processor and digital amp module ensure an optimal preparation of the signal for the various drivers. A configuration consisting of a 5-inch subwoofer, two 3-inch midrange drivers and two 1-inch Nautilus tapered tube tweeters are provided.
Design, construction and concept
The design of the Zeppelin Air may look like it's all for show, but it is certainly drawn up in a highly functional manner as well. For instance, the components have been placed as far apart as possible to ensure a better stereo image and more detailed audio. A robust, glass-reinforced ABS construction and integrated FlexPort make defined low tones and neat overall audio reproductions possible.
