Part of the USA Standard Series, the Guild D-50 acoustic guitar combines traditional American quality with modern build features to result in up-to-date playability and lush, vintage sound, and to complete a model that's more than worthy of the legendary Guild stamp of approval. The dreadnought body has been finished with a solid Sitka spruce soundboard and a solid Indian rosewood back and matching sides, while the set-in mahogany neck has been topped with an Indian rosewood fretboard to match the Indian rosewood bridge.

The Guild D-50 Standard: Rich, Played-In Sound

The classic build gives this six-string an immediately rich acoustic sound where the higher register is lightly rounded off and balances the overall tone. To support excellent projection, a thin layer of vintage high-gloss nitrocellulose lacquer has been applied which also helps give this model a more matured, played in feel. Tight and controlled strumming and finger-picking techniques are fully supported by the 25.625 inch scale length, while the C-profile neck, 12 inch fretboard radius and set of twenty Jescar 43080 frets have a supremely snug feel in the fret-hand.
