Timber Tones Grip Tones Mixed Pack of Four

This Timber Tones set consists of four hand-polished picks, three of which are made of bovine horn and one made of buffalo bone. They have a shape based on the classic (Fender) 351 picks and a thickness of 2.5 mm that tapers to 0.7 mm at the tip. To improve grip, the picks are laser-engraved where you hold them. The bovine horn picks are reminiscent of the renowned tortoise picks of the past. The buffalo bone plectrum gives a bright and clean sound with more attack.

Surely the most famous picks from the past are the 'Tortoise' picks, made from the shell of the sea turtle. Of course, this material is not allowed to be used these days. That's great for the tortoise but less so for the guitarist. Since then, many manufacturers have tried in vain to match tortoise picks with plastic ones. Despite this, it still turns out that a natural product works best. Indeed, picks made from bovine horn approach the classic warm and mellow sound of Tortoise specimens closer than any kind of cushion fabric picks.
