Tri Tones picks have a core of African ebony, one of the hardest woods available. African ebony picks are loved for their bright and clean sound. However, some guitarists find these picks a little too smooth. Timber Tones has laminated the Tri Tones with a less slippery type of wood for better grip. Because of this method, you get four picks that look very different from each other but still sound the same. The design is derived from the classic (Fender) '351' picks and the thickness is 2.4 mm. At the edge and tip, the picks are ground down to a thickness of 0.7 mm.
