JAM released a series of Bluetooth-compatible speakers for mobile audio fanatics, including this one: the JAM Heavy Metal. If you're not a fan of the genre, don't let the name put you off though - it'll do equally well for pop, jazz, children's songs or German schlager music, whatever you prefer. The Heavy Metal moniker is mostly about the material this stereo speaker is made of. JAM chose to give it an anodised aluminium housing. Not only does that give it a sleek, tough look, it also means that it's very durable indeed. You can use this speaker in combination with tablets, smartphones and other Bluetooth-compatible media devices.

JAM Heavy Metal: wireless and compact

Thanks to its wireless capabilities, you can use this Bluetooth speaker wherever you are. As it's nice and compact, it's easy to take with you to parties, rehearsal sessions or any other event that could use a spot of music, where you can simply connect your phone via Bluetooth and press play. After that, you can put your phone back in your pocket, as the speaker features several controls on top for adjusting volume, skipping tracks, etc., as long as you stay within 10 metres of the speaker. If you'd rather use a cable to connect a device to the speaker, you can use the aux input. The JAM Heavy Metal features a battery that will last up to 8 hours. When it runs out, you can recharge it using the included USB cable, or you can attach the included power supply to the speaker.

Small size, big sound

Despite its modest 20 x 60cm dimensions, this JAM speaker manages to produce an impressive, powerful sound. That is partly due to the dual drivers and the passive dual bass radiator. These allow you to easily fill any space with music, no matter where in the room you place the speaker. Massive volume, bright trebles and thumping bass ensure that you'll optimally experience your music. Furthermore, when your phone is connected, you can even use the Heavy Metal to answer incoming calls and put them on speakerphone. In short, the JAM Heavy Metal is a highly compact, stylish and versatile Bluetooth speaker with an impressive sound.
