The Cedar CG82C

The most important aspect of a guitar is the type of wood used to fashion its body, and in particular the wood used for the top. In the case of the Yamaha CG82-C the top is made of American cedar, known for its lovely reddish-brown colour and warm intonation. Madagascar rosewood was used for the sides and back to add deep lows and sparkling highs to the mix.

A optimised sound

While most models from its series have mahogany necks, the GC82C boasts a neck of cedar to match its top and to add even more fullness to the overall tone. The Madagascar rosewood bridge makes this guitar even more unique, considering the less-exclusive Indian rosewood is the common choice for most guitars. A beautiful shellac gloss finish helps this attractive classical guitar resonate optimally.

An exclusive model

Just like the other models from the GC series, the Yamaha GC-82-C is equipped with a sleek ebony fretboard with a bone nut and a bone saddle. Because bone is harder than the more commonly used synthetic material it results in a brighter sound, and because the strings barely cut into bone you don't have to worry about them getting stuck. Other special features include a beautifully engrained headstock, deluxe tuners and an included case.
