The ultimate workhorse when it comes to the stage or recording studio, the Orange Rockerverb 50 MKIII NEO combo is a valve-based dream, whether spitting pure cleans or that signature Orange crunch. The MKIII already dates back to 2015, so was definitely due an upgrade, and thanks to user feedback, the MKIII NEO is now a good seven kilograms lighter than its predecessor.

The Orange Rockerverb 50C MKIII NEO: The Trim Valve-Amp

The NEO edition is 18% lighter than the standard MKIII, and all of that weight loss is thanks to the 15mm-thick birch cabinet which makes sure this amp is able to take a beating while trimming off a bowling-ball's worth of weight - easing the touring life of working guitarists. The original Celestion V30 speakers have also been swapped out for a set of Celestion Neo Creamback speakers, both built in England and both featuring neodymium magnets that sound just as good but drop the weight by close-to three kilograms.

Maximum Flexibility

The Orange Rockerverb 50C MKIII NEO is a stomping two-channel Class-A/B amplifier with a valve-buffered effects loop and switchable built-in spring reverb. An attenuator can be toggled to shift the output down from 50 Watts to 25 Watts at will, so you still gain that unmistakable EL34 valve sound at a lower volume level. And when it comes to shaping the sound of either channel, the control panel is as clean and clear as ever, so you can flip between shimmering cleans and sweet, saturated distortion in mere seconds.
