Ethernet Cables/Internet Cables
If you want a network cable to complete a physical internet connection, then you'll need a UTP cable. This is also the most commonly used cable for setting up ethernet connections. The RJ45 plugs are compatible with almost any model of laptop or desktop computer, modem or router and UTP ethernet cables can also function as a link-cable for connecting up specific studio and DJ gear.
The most common UTP internet cables are the Cat5e cables. This kind of cable is capable of faster data transfer speeds (in gigabytes) than the cables that came before it, and is less sensitive to interference. The most current edition is the Cat6 cable, which supports speeds of up to 10GBps and is even more resistant to interference. If you're using professional Neutrik sockets, there are also cables fitted with strong EtherCon plugs.
