General

Steinberg's Cubase is one of the most popular DAW software programs around and is used by top music producers all over the world. This upgrade to the Cubase Pro 9 Edu version is aimed at professionals and includes countless new functions like MixConsole History, which tracks all of the changes you make and lets you select previous settings from a list. This makes it easy to compare different settings and experiment more with your mixes. This Edu version of Pro is specially for educational purposes.

What else is new in Cubase Pro 9?

Sampler Track is another new function. You can add any piece of audio to create a Sampler Track, then play it chromatically, or edit it with its on-board filters and controls. It even maps to your keyboard. Frequency is a new 8-band equalizer with M/S support and other functionality including a Linear Phase mode for each band. Lower Zone is also new and lets you display various panels which gives you a much clearer overview and direct access to the editors and the MixConsole without having to leave the Project window. Better still, the panels can be re-sized so you can easily find the one you need whenever you need it.

Different editions

Cubase Pro 9 includes eight outstanding virtual instruments with over 3,400 sounds and a comprehensive effects section. Of course, it's possible to buy additional virtual instruments for even more possibilities. The software is easier to use than ever before and ensures an efficient workflow. In addition to the Pro version, there's Elements (the most basic version) and Artist. As well as those, there are special versions for educational purposes and a number of affordable upgrades available.

This Edu version of Pro is specially for educational purposes and Steinberg will require valid identification in order to purchase it.
If you activated an older version of Cubase (from version 6) on or after 26th October 2016, Steinberg is offering a grace period so that you can upgrade to version 9 for free. You can do this via the Steinberg website.
