Sennheiser's E604 is a popular and versatile dynamic microphone. It is often used as a drum mic for toms and snares. Thanks to the practical clip-on holder you can attach the mic to the rim in seconds for optimal positioning. The Sennheiser E604 is not just great for drums, but also for recording brass and woodwind instruments. Thanks to its maximum sound pressure level of no less than 160 dB, the E604 can record it all without any distortion.

The Sound of the Sennheiser E604

The sound of the Sennheiser E604 is based on the legendary MD 421 microphone. The E604 has a frequency range of 40 to 18,000 Hz with a small peak in the mid-high and high frequencies. As such, it offers a powerful, open and clear sound. Because the E604 can be placed near the drum head and has a cardioid recording pattern, feedback is not an issue. Vibrations are eliminated, thanks to the integrated shock mount.

Geweldig en handige microfoon. Gebruik ze nu op alle toms en mijn snare. Klik klaar, en de sound is geweldig (dankzij de geluidsman ;-) )

Prima mic we gebruiken heb nu 3 jaar nooit een probleem mee gehad. Kwa sound vind ik heb niet slecht maar vind eerlijk zijn Groote broer beter klinken ben je iets meer kwijt maar klinkt veel voller

Prima ding maar zal ff gaan doorsparen als het kan !

Ik gebruik hem nu meer dan 10 jaar op mijn snare. Simpel, klik, klaar, niet of nauwelijks richten en altijd goed geluid. Ik heb hem regelmatig geraakt met mijn stokken, maar dat is opmerkelijk genoeg niet terug te horen via de PA. Onze geluidsman is nog steeds blij met dit ding en ik ook. Wel even een haakse xlr-plug gebruiken voor de meeste ruimte rond je snare.

Ik vind deze mic te gek op vooral 8/10/12 toms, 14 kan nog net, maar voor een 16 vind ik hem te dun klinken. Wel een erg transparante sound en een stevig design, cool!
