With this SG from the Modern Collection, Gibson offers you the current standard from its USA production line. This version has the classic double cutaway body shape, of course, but also plenty of contemporary features. Also, the body with its pleasant curves and the glued-on long tenon neck are made of mahogany and the guitar is completed with that well-known rosewood fingerboard with 12-inch radius. This set of alnico II humbuckers not only give you that warm vintage vibe, but also a contemporary bright high. Nice bonus is that a premium gig bag is included.

SG Standard: Wide tonal range

You can use the double-coil 490T at the bridge mainly to keep your riffs and chords tight, whereas the sound of the 490R neck element is slightly creamier and still defined. Of course, the 3-position switch as well as the dual potentiometers for tone and volume cannot be missing. This gives you a wide range of medium gain guitar sounds at your disposal, allowing you to get into many different styles of music. Although the Nashville Tune-O-Matic bridge and the accompanying Stop Bar tailpiece are made of lightweight aluminium, together with the Graptech nut and the high-quality Grover Rotomatics tuners, they ensure a stable, tunable doublecut.
