General
The Vintage V100 ReIssued electric guitar drips with immediately recognisable style and offers plenty of bang for your buck, making it a great pick for pop, rock and blues-focussed guitarists with a limited amount of cash to spend. The core of the build is formed by a mahogany body finished with an arched maple top and two Wilkinson MWVC Double Coil pickups for a fat, warm foundation and a long, sweet sustain. Whether it's your first, second, third or seventeenth guitar, the V100 is definitely a keeper.
The V100 ReIssued: Satisfying Playability
Like a lot of single-cuts, the Vintage V100 has a 24.75-inch scale length and a modern 12-inch fretboard radius which supports eased chord-play, solo-focussed leads and even smooth bends. The Lignum Rosa™ fretboard and 22 medium jumbo frets also contribute to that trusty feel, while smaller details like the Wilkinson Tulip Deluxe tuners and the GraphTech NuBone nut firm up the tuning stability and ensure accurate intonation.

Eerst had ik daar mijn bedenkingen bij, was dit wel een goede koop of misschien een sisser! Voorheen had ik bij Bax een Vintage V60 gitaar, uit een goedkopere reeks besteld en teruggestuurd omdat deze aan mijn eisen niet voldeed. De V100 is een gitaar in het mediumsegment en zou normaliter goed moeten zijn.
Bestelling en levering:
De gitaar heb ik in de namiddag besteld en die werd de volgende dag in de voormiddag geleverd, ongelooflijk snelle service van Bax!
De gitaar was goed verpakt en volledig in orde, qua constructie niets op aan te merken.
Speeltest:
Aangename gitaarhals, frets goed afgewerkt, stemmechanieken zijn stemvast ook bij veelvoudige buigingen, de hardware ziet er degelijk uit.
Zeer aangenaam verrast met de elementen (Pickups) van Wilkinson, voor clean blues met een beetje bite hebben ze veel karakter, dus veel speelgenot!
Ik heb een Les Paul van Sire (Larry Carlton) met P90 Pickups en deze gitaar is zeer vergelijkbaar in klank en speelkwaliteit, de afwerking van de Sire is nog iets beter.
Tot dusver ben ik zeer tevreden met deze aankoop want ik speel zeer graag op deze gitaar, hopelijk blijft alles stabiel, de toekomst zal die vraag kunnen beantwoorden.
