ATV aDrums electronic drum kit

Looking at ATV's aDrums electronic drum kit, it's hard to believe that this is the first electronic kit they've made. The drums look just like those on an acoustic kit, they play just like acoustic drums and the quality is second to none. The kit comes with everything you need except a bass drum pedal and a drum stool.

The kit consists of an 18 x 12-inch bass drum, a 13 x 5.5-inch snare drum, a 10 x 6.5-inch tom, a 13 x 12-inch floor tom, a 14-inch hi-hat, a 14-inch crash, a 16-inch ride, the aD5 drum module and stands. Both the drum pads and the cymbal pads have multiple triggers so that you can play exactly the same way as you do on an acoustic kit. The hardware that comes with the kit includes a snare drum stand, a tom holder, a cymbal stand and a cymbal holder. You also get a clamp to mount the drum module on and even a drum key because this electronic kit is tunable too!

aD5 drum module

The aD5 drum module is responsible for producing this electronic kit's sounds and it has an interface that's easy to use. Unlike other drum modules that give you hundreds of sounds you'll probably never use, ATV has focused on making the sounds of the five on-board acoustic kits as good as possible. That also means you get 100 samples for each part of the kit instead of 30 samples like many other drum modules give you. The result is sounds that are much more realistic. The module is even compatible with pads and drum triggers by other manufacturers too.
