Getting the Correct Bridge for Your Guitar

Fixed and Tremolo Electric Guitar Bridges
Our range of guitar bridges is also home to floating bridges in single and double-locking style. These bridges are usually called tremolo bridges, which is technically an incorrect term because the effects these bridges create are actually vibrato effects. If you need a single-locking tremolo bridge, make sure the one you get has the correct amount of mounting points. If you need a fixed bridge, you could opt for one of our tune-o-matic-style bridges, most of which can be combined with tailpieces like a classic stoptail, a tasteful tremolo tailpiece, or a traditional tailpiece that's secured at the lower strap button for your guitar strap. Wrap-around bridges, meanwhile, look similar to TOM-style bridges and offer the option of securing your strings before pulling them over the bridge. Then there are fixed bridges that come fitted with three or more saddles and a string-through-body design where the strings are routed through ferrule holes in the body. Wooden Bridges for Acoustic, Classical and Semi-Acoustic Guitars
Most hollow-bodied guitars are equipped with a bridge made from wood. Acoustic guitars generally have set-in bridges that have six holes for the ball-ends of the strings, which are secured via bridge pins that slot into the holes before the strings are routed over the saddle and towards the tuners. Classical guitars also come with a single saddle and have wooden bridges that feature holes that you can route the strings through and tie each string end in a knot in order to secure it. Semi-acoustic hollowbody guitars, on the other hand, can come with a tune-o-matic-style bridge plus a stoptail or a different tailpiece, while roots and jazz-focussed models often feature a wooden bridge that's either able to shift across the arched top or has been secured with metal pins.
