Playing the accordion without using an accordion strap can be quite the challenge due to the instrument's weight, which is why it's perfectly normal for an accordion to come with a matching strap. There are all kinds of straps available; straps for extra small and for extra large accordions; straps for adults and straps for children. And not every strap comes with a back strap either. Shoulder straps may be included, but don't underestimate the stability and comfort a back strap offers. Back straps are usually not included when you buy an accordion but often can be purchased separately.
