Boxed-up like an '80s arcade game, the purely analogue Dreadbox Hypnosis multi-effects processor acts so much like a time-machine that it might actually just yank effects out of the past and plonk them down in the present. Three flavours of reverb (atmospherically lit in pink), a delay and a chorus/flanger are locked inside this unit and can be combined with synths, guitars or basses and vocals or set up as a delicious post-production studio tool. The Freeze function is able to infinitely sustain a note to create ambience or to serve as a backdrop for improvisations. Once you've hit on your favourites, they can be saved to one of the 49 preset slots provided so they can be recalled, time and time and time again.
