If you have spotlights and lighting effects that are not particularly suited for outdoor use, you can use an outdoor dome or rain cover to protect them from rain. Simply place your lighting on the plateau that comes with the dome, and place the transparent rain cover on top of it. There's an opening on the bottom of the dome for power and signal cables. Should you choose special outdoor lamps, naturally you won't need such protective devices.
