General
A small size is often practical, but in the speaker business a small size does have its limitations. An 8-inch full-range speaker will have considerably more trouble reproducing bass tones than a 12 or 15-inch model, for instance. This Devine speaker set is particularly suited for those who adhere to the old adage that 'size matters.' The 15-inch woofers of the two Trono 15 speakers can easily handle bass-heavy music and are backed up by two Devine B118 subwoofers that are quite capable of producing an almost tangible low end with their 18-inch woofers. The set is completed by two American Audio amplifiers, the necessary speaker cables and a pair of distance rods.
Devine Trono 15
Devine's Trono series is characterised by its wooden cabinets - after all, the material of a speaker cabinet plays an important role in the overall sound of a speaker. The wooden cabinet of the Trono 15 has a black damping felt finish and houses a 15-inch woofer, a bass reflex system and a powerful high-frequency horn driver. In a moderate setting, two of these Trono 15s are able to produce a full-fledged sound. Just imagine the sound you'll create when you combine them with two B118 subs! The passive Trono 15 speaker can easily be mounted on a stand or a distance rod thanks to its 35mm stand flange and is equipped with a set of practical handles for effortless transport.
Devine B118: size matters
The Devine B118 subwoofer is the passive counterpart of the B118A and owes its excellent sound partly to its solid wooden cabinet with front-mounted bass reflex ports. The sub is able to reproduce frequencies as low as 35 Hz, delivering an impressive bass punch. At an RMS power of 600 watts, the B118 delivers a considerable sound pressure that is ideal for large venues and outdoor applications, and thanks to a peak power of 1,200 watts it features a healthy headroom. A practical 35mm stand flange enables you to place the American Audio distance rods that are included in the set, and a number of rugged handles allow for easy transport.
American Audio amplifiers
The Devine speakers of this set are driven by two American Audio amplifiers: the VLP-1000 and the VLP-1500. The VLP-1000 takes care of the two Tronos and supplies two times 300 watts RMS at 8 ohms, or no less than two times 500 watts at 4 ohms. The VLP-1500 is able to provide the necessary power for the Devine B115 subwoofers, and supplies 500 watts and 750 watts per channel at 8 and 4 ohms respectively. Thanks to cooling fans, these amps are able to keep cool at all times. They come in a 2U rack size, so you can mount them professionally in a 19-inch rack.

Wow what a great sounding speaker, from the highs to the lows I challenge you to find a speaker for this price that sounds this good. All speakers have there limitations but these have exceeded my expectations. If you put in a good quality signal you won't be disappointed , so I've bought four now. Charlie
