General

Just like the other resonator guitars that Gretsch build, the G9220 Bobtail Round-Neck features a hand-made resonator cone made of 99% pure aluminium that's been integrated into a mahogany body topped with laminated mahogany. Two classic F-holes serve as traditional sound holes while the vintage appeal of this sharp-and-bright-sounding dobro guitar is polished off with a pearloid Gretsch 1930s 3x3 Headstock and an amazingly stable set of Sta-Tite Die-Cast machine heads from Grover. To finish a stage-ready build, Gretsch finally loaded in a Fishman Nashville pickup (no preamp!).
