More often than not, the foundation of any self-respecting rock-and-roll song classic is laid by a Fender Precision Bass guitar. From the fifties onwards, this bass has become quintessential to almost every nameable genre and as such, has gained iconic status. The Fender Classic Series '50s Precision Bass Lacquer could be regarded as a love letter to the earliest P-Bass. This instrument has a maple fretboard, a traditional vintage split single-coil pickup and an ultra-shiny, anodised pickguard.
Nitrocellulose
One of the most remarkable features of this black bass guitar is its lacquer finish. Even though polyurethane is today's standard, this Fender features a nitrocellulose lacquer to give it a high-quality look and contribute to the authentic '50s feel. The American Vintage bridge is reassuringly solid and ensures perfect string resonance from the alder body. The included dapper tweed case is a worthy vehicle for this icon to travel in.

En dat kan! Komt goed & strak afgesteld uit de doos, fabrieks snaren redelijk.
De hoogte van de 2 halve elmenten moeten nog een beetje getweakt worden -voor mij.
Intonatie lage snaren nog niet helemaal 100% maar ruimte zat op de brug.
Ondanks de eenvoudige vintage style brug is deze bas enorm resonant (ik schrok er zelfs van, er zijn bij ons een paar nummers waarbij ik de zangeres "de hoogte" in volg)
Verders: Niet al te zwaar en zeer goed afgewerkt. Gewoon een fijn werkpaard (stijl bluesy rock, country, Americana, 70's) Ik heb wel de achterkant van de hals een beetje gematteerd, want vaak last van plakkerige zweethandjes.
