General
The Optoma WHD200 is a wireless HDMI system with a transmitter and a receiver that allows you to transfer Full HD and even 3D images with sound from suitable devices to your television or projector without any cables.
Transmitter and receiver
The transmitter has two HDMI inputs and one HDMI output. It sends images and sound wirelessly to the receiver which can be connected to your television or projector using the HDMI output. You'll be able to enjoy perfect image and sound quality without having to invest in any more cumbersome, expensive HDMI cables. If you want to hook up a second display however, you will need a cable to connect the transmitter directly via the HDMI output.
Quality
Until recently, affordable wireless HDMI systems simply haven't been able to deliver a high-quality signal reliably enough. The WHD200 makes an enormous leap forward however, with support for Full HD and 3D images as well as multi-channel audio with support for Digital Theatre Systems. With an extremely low latency of just 1 millisecond, it can even be used for gaming.
Wi-Fi
The fact that the WHD200 works at a frequency range of 5 GHz means that it won't interfere with most Wi-Fi networks which normally operate at around 2.4 GHz. Be aware that higher frequencies have more trouble penetrating walls. That's why it's best to use the WHD200's transmitter and receiver in the same room where it has a reliable high-quality signal with a range of up to 20 metres.
