Monacor PA-8120RCD: versatile amplifier

In terms of inputs, this amplifier has plenty to choose from. There are four microphone/line inputs that can be set to the appropriate input by means of DIP switches. There's also 48-volt phantom power available for using a condenser microphone. The CD player is accompanied by an AM/FM radio with the option to store your top five favourite stations. If that wasn't all, there's even the option to connect an external preamp! Lastly, there's a USB slot so you can play MP3s from a flash drive.

Safety first

Because this amp can be used for making emergency announcements, it's vital that a microphone should always work. The first mic is therefore called 'priority circuit', and there are also pre-programmed sirens and alarm sounds for preceding an important announcement. The speaker outputs can be switched between 4, 8 and 16 ohms and 70 and 100 volts.
