Just as audio engineers like working with multicables (less hassle, easy to roll up), lighting jockeys can obviously have the same wish. Because whereas a single cable is enough for a relatively simple light show (a universe with 512 channels), there are also somewhat larger DMX consoles where, for instance, four DMX-outputs are present. So then it is nice to use a DMX multi cable, and the DAP DMX Multi 5-Pin is such a cable. Four cables, good for as many as 2048 DMX channels. Even if every lamp, effect and movinghead were to gobble up sixteen DMX channels, you could still control 128 fixtures with these cables. That's a nice event-hall full!
