The SKB 3RS Series Static Shock Rack 4U (30 inches) is designed for the safe transport of sensitive 19-inch rack-mounted equipment. The rotomoulded LMDP polyethylene case is lightweight yet designed for harsh conditions: shockproof, watertight and dustproof, as well as resistant to heat and chemicals. Thanks to the MIL-STD 810H specification, you can be sure this case is built to withstand impact and rough handling. Ideal for AV, broadcast, hire and touring, where you need to be able to load and unload equipment without any stress.

30 inches deep and EIA-310 compatible

This 30-inch version is 30 inches deep from rail to rail and has a standard 19-inch rack width in accordance with EIA/ECA-310-E. The inner rack chassis is constructed from high-strength, lightweight aluminium alloy extrusions, with 11-gauge hot-rolled carbon steel rack rails (EIA-310). You’ll receive square-hole rack rails suitable for both #10-32 (US) and 6 mm (international) cage nuts; these are included. The internal structure also provides sway space for air circulation and heat dissipation, ensuring your rack stays properly cooled even during operation.

Shock isolation and tour-proof features

Shocks and vibrations are dampened by eight (8) elastomeric isolators, rated as standard for a payload of 40 to 150 lb. For heavier loads, an upgrade to 160 to 300 lb is available as a special order, requiring SKB to install the additional isolators. The lid layout is also practical: a 2-inch-deep front lid and a 5-inch-deep rear lid provide space for longer equipment. Featuring edge castors, 8 spring-loaded comfort-grip handles, stacking ribs/lugs, coupling straps, an automatic pressure relief valve and gasket-sealed lids with lid hangers, this is a genuine work case.
