The SKB 3RS Series Static Shock Rack 7U is a complete, tour-ready transport case for your 19-inch rack equipment. Thanks to its hard LMDP (Linear Medium Density Polyethylene) shell, it is lightweight yet shockproof, watertight and dustproof. What’s more, the case is heat- and chemical-resistant and meets (or exceeds) MIL-STD 810H. This makes it a reliable choice for hire, live productions and installations where you need to transport sensitive electronics safely from A to B without any hassle.

High-load-capacity shock mount

This 7U shock rack is fitted with 8 elastomeric shock absorbers that dampen shocks and vibrations during transport. In the standard configuration, the payload range is 40 to 150 lb, ideal for many common racks housing amplification, processing or wireless systems. If you have a heavier load, an optional upgrade to 160 to 300 lb is available with additional shock absorbers. This is a special order option and must be installed by SKB to ensure that insulation and safety remain guaranteed.

19-inch standard and practical details

In terms of mounting, everything is designed to the 19-inch rack standard in accordance with EIA/ECA-310-E. You’ll receive square-hole rack rails that are compatible with both #10-32 (US) and 6 mm (international) cage nuts; these are included. The case features a 2-inch-deep front lid and a 5-inch-deep rear lid, allowing you to accommodate even longer rack-mounted equipment. Featuring edge castors, 8 spring-loaded comfort-grip handles, stacking ribs/lugs, coupling straps, lid hangers and an automatic pressure relief valve, it is designed for intensive use.
