General
After a relatively long period of silence, SynQ unexpectedly introduced the SMD series. Consisting of two mixers, it aptly managed to fill a gap in SynQ's assortment. One of these two mixers, the SMD-5, was designed for both mobile applications and fixed installations. Equipped with a bi-directional USB audio interface, it not only allows you to transmit music from a laptop to your mixer, but also enables you to record your mixes.
Design and functionality of the SMD-5
Any venue that requires several audio channels will benefit from the SMD-5. In the average pub, for instance, a music PC, a CD player and a tuner easily take up a number of channels, after all. This five-channel mixer features a built-in, variably adjustable crossover, so you can plug in a subwoofer system in a jiffy - the crossover frequency is taken care of for you.
Cable connectors usually take up a lot of room. XLR connectors in particular are quite long, so that cable breakage can be prevented. Fortunately, the SMD-5 is equipped with recessed connectors, which saves you a considerable amount of space. The mixer's control panel has an equally efficient layout that provides you with a clear overview. As such, even the most inexperienced users will be able to work with this SynQ mixer.

Het is in de plaats gekomen van mijn rodec , en dus met een bang hart besteld omwille van de eventuele mindere geluidskwaliteit.
Aangename verassing, als er al verschil is , dan is het minimaal.
Jammer dat de aan/uit knop een beetje onhandig onderin is geplaatst, bij inbouw kan je er niet meer bij, hij geeft ook een serieuze plop als je versterker nog aanstaat, dit zijn echter details.
Voor de rest goede mixer met vele mogelijkheden.
Ik hoop dat hij even duurzaam is gebouwd als mijn rodec , dat zal de toekomst uitwijzen...

Deze Sync heeft ze wel en is ook nog leuk geprijsd. Het is een compactere mixer dan mijn JB maar ik kan er prima mee werken. Ziet er wat goedkoop uit - wat hij ook is natuurlijk - maar werkt verder naar behoren en verwachting. Ik zal mijn oude JB Beat 6 USB gaan missen maar deze opvolger wordt vanzelf geliefd!
