Auralex Studiofoam Metro BUR Burgundy 24x48x4 Absorber (Single Piece)

General

The Studiofoam Metro pieces are on the line between products that work well acoustically and those that look nice.

The different heights in the acoustic Studiofoam Metro products serve to direct sonic energy out into a time domain, as well as absorb a slightly different part of the frequency spectrum. This is because it takes time for the sound waves to travel through the different sections of the Metro, which is different for each section. The sound waves strike the mounting surface and travel through the Metro back into space, softening wavefronts rather than merely absorbing them.
