The FR-8X piano-type digital accordion is the flagship of Roland's V-Accordion range. This digital accordion offers the ideal mix of traditional feel and modern digital technology, developed in collaboration with the world's best accordionists. This high-end instrument offers a number of special functions that allow for a level of expressiveness and versatility that was previously unattainable. Thanks to the innovative Dynamic Bellows Behavior technology, the FR-8X piano-type accordion feels just like a real, acoustic accordion. Its elaborate sounds, four powerful multi-effects, built-in looper and MIDI functionality offer you a plethora of options and a world of dynamic and creative musical freedom.
Roland FR-8X V-Accordion: New Innovative Functions
The Dynamic Bellows Behavior automatically adjusts the air transfer in the bellows in real-time, in accordance with the selected register and the number of played notes. This function can be switched off if you prefer the feel of the previous V-Accordions. The Roland FR-8X piano-type accordion is fitted with a fresh interface with a large colour LCD and an intuitive button layout. It is also loaded with three new, programmable chin switches, which enable you to control various functions in a hand-free fashion. The FR-8X offers no less than 1,400 memory locations for quick storage and access of custom setups. It is equipped with two neodymium speakers and an output of 2x 25 watt, powered by a rechargeable 24V NiMH battery.
A wide range of sounds and options
The Roland FR-8X offers you a wide range of authentic accordion sounds. It also features more than 180 orchestra and percussion sounds, including strings, horns, electric and acoustic guitars and bass guitars, organs, synths and drums. New sounds can be loaded from the Roland library via USB. Both the 41 keys and the bass buttons of the FR-8X can be divided into more zones and layers than ever before. Four powerful multi effects, with 84 different effect types each, are provided for additional creativity. The built-in looper can be used to create backing tracks, and you can also play along with your favourite MP3 or WAV files by plugging in a USB stick. Audio can be recorded directly to a USB stick or to your computer.
