Here it is! The first acoustic guitar amplifier combo from ENGL. The A101 was designed and built in collaboration with the renowned Schertler company. Both brands are well known for manufacturing top-quality guitar amplifiers, and together they decided to produce the successor to Schertler's JACM150. This acoustic guitar amp combo delivers 150 watts of power. That should be enough for almost any situation.
ENGL A101: organic, acoustic and warm
The exterior of this acoustic amplifier combo is made of wood, so it is natural in colour just like the JACM150. The A101 delivers a pure acoustic guitar sound, which is produced by an 8-inch woofer and a 1-inch tweeter. Humming is kept to a minimum thanks to the ground lift. Overall, an organic, warm sound is produced with rich mids and silky smooth highs.
Extra features of the A101
The ENGL A101 is not just suitable for acoustic guitars. Keyboard players will also love the sound it delivers and it should be considered as a serious option for amplifying your keyboard. Apart from the pure sound it produces, there are number of effects that you can add to your instrument's sound, like Hall, Room, Delay and Chorus+Room. It also gives you four channels to work with, two with line inputs, one with Hi-Z and Lo-Z, and a fourth channel for external audio devices like MP3 players.
