General
The Scarlatti VL 4/4 is a beginner violin that comes with a bow and a violin case. The 4/4 size is the most common size of violin, and it's best suited for adults and children ages 11 and up. This highly complete package is very reasonably priced, making it a great place to start for people who want to see if this popular string instrument is right for them. Scarlatti violins are fitted with fine tuners and have an all-solid body - both the ribs, back and top are made of solid wood.
4/4-size Violins
4/4-size violins are best suited for adults and children with an arm length of approximately 60 cm. For younger children, try out the other sizes: 3/4, 1/2, 1/4, 1/8 and 1/10. The arm length should be measured from the centre of your palm to your neck, right below your jaw. Your hand should be able to comfortably curl around the scroll, with your fingers pointed at your face and your elbow only slightly curved. When in doubt, always go with the smaller of the two sizes.

Enige nadeel is dat de kam los geleverd wordt en de snaren van niet al te goede kwaliteit zijn.
Ik heb dan ook al tijdens het stemmen, wat ik heel voorzichtig doe, de G-snaar laten springen.
Ik raad dus aan om naast deze viool alvast een extra setje vioolsnaren te kopen, just in case, ik heb hiervoor de Stagg VI-REG-4 vioolsnaren besteld.

mooi afgewerkt, wat wel "gevaarlijk" kan zijn dat de viool geleverd wordt met de kam los
erbij en niet onder de snaren.....in het meest ongunstige geval kan daardoor de stapel
omvallen en ben je genoodzaakt een vioolbouwer te gaan opzoeken om dit weer op te lossen.
Voor de rest best een goed studieinstrument..
de levering door BAX is zoals bekend....top !!

ik ben totaal onervaren met een viool,
ik heb vandaag mijn viool binnengekregen!
Over de levering niets op aan te merken! Helemaal tevreden!
Maar bij mij is al 1 snaar gesprongen na het proberen te stemmen(ben er heel voorzichtig mee geweest en heb niet hoe een gek aan de sleutels gedraaid, maar beetje bij beetje)
jammer dat er "geen beschrijving of dergelijke bij zit. Ik wist totaal niet dat de stapel erbij zat Dus daar door waarschijnliik de snaar gesprongen. Jammer!!
Ik heb nieuwe viool snaren besteld!
Maar ik begrijp niet hoe jullie tevreden kunnen zijn, omdat ik dr andere snaren ook gestemd heb maar ik krijg ze niet eens volledig gespannen. En kan niet meer draaien aan de sleutel want de springen de snaren!
Kan iemand mij helpen want het lijkt me egt leuk om op te spelen?!
Ik hoop dat het een beetje duidelijk is!
