The EVH 5150III 50-watt amplifier head is the smaller counterpart of the 100-watt EVH 5150II guitar amplifier head. It delivers a powerful, high-quality sound and is ideal for guitarist who value high volume, but prefer a compact housing. The amp head can be easily connected to the 2x12 and 1x12 cabinets from the EVH 5150II series.
EVH Gear 5150III 50-watt amplifier head: three channels
The letters EVH in EVH Gear stand for Eddie van Halen - a familiar name for guitar players. The legendary guitarist is closely involved in the development and production processes of the EVH products, resulting in a truly unique sound. This 50-watt amplifier head features three channels (two of which share an equalizer): Clean, Crunch and Lead. The amp head is equipped with seven JJ ECC83 (12AX7) preamp tubes and two JJ 6L6 power tubes, and the impedance can be set to 4, 8 or 16 ohms. All channels have controls for Gain, Low, Mid, High and Volume, and channel 3 also has a Master Presence control.
Connectors
At the front of this EVH Gear guitar amplifier head you'll find a 6.35mm jack input, while its back is fitted with 6.35mm jacks for the Effects Loop (Send and Return). Additionally, the amp head is equipped with two parallel speaker outputs (jack), a MIDI input for channel and FX loop control, a headphone and line output and a connector for the included 4-button foot switch.
