The Mark V 25 is the little brother of the already legendary Mark V amplifier head. Mesa Boogie This tube amp head shares many of the characteristics of its big brother in a more compact housing. Following in the footsteps of products like the Mini Rectifier 25 and the Recto-Verb 25, the Mark V 25 continues the trend of small tube amps with switchable power.
Mesa Boogie Mark V 25: the full Mesa sound in a handy package
This handy-sized Mesa Boogie is a 25-watt amp head with 2 channels. Per channel you can choose between different modes. On channel 1 you have the choice between clean, fat and crunch. The famous Mark IIC+, Mark IV and Xtreme modes can all be found on channel 2. The Mark V 25 is fitted with six 12AX7 preamp tubes and two EL84 power tubes for that well-known full Mesa sound.
Extra features of the Mark V 25
The Mark V 25 also has a cabinet simulation feature called CabClone D.I. that allows you to connect it directly to something like a PA or recorder. For further manipulation of the Mesa Boogie's sounds you will find various tone controls and the familiar graphic EQ. Power can be switched between 10 or 25 watts. In short, this Mesa Boogie tube amplifier head is perfect for small stages or use at home.
