General
The P series by Yamaha is the perfect complement to the popular Club speakers. Yamaha has done this by equipping the amplifier with YS Processing, or, Yamaha Speaker Processing. This technology ensures optimal performance in combination with Club speaker systems!
EEEngine and YS Processing
The EEEngine is responsible for making the Yamaha P5000S work as economically as possible, thus decreasing your power consumption and heat created by the device. The YS Processing technology optimises the output for Club series speaker systems and can be switched on and off.Luckily, the YS Processing technology is also compatible with numerous other speakers.
Inputs and Outputs
The amplifier is equipped with Neutrik Speakon cables, a 1/4-inch output jack for each channel and a 5-way binding post. For inputs, the P5000S makes use of balanced XLR And 1/4-inch TRS jack inputs. Thanks to the Speakon and XLR connections, the P5000S can be used with just about any sound system.

Ik gebruik hem om mijn subwoofer van 500 watt, gebrugd te versterken.
Heb aan deze versterker ruim voldoende vermogen, zou zelfs een tweede
sub aan kunnen sluiten.
De Yamaha processing gebruik ik niet aangezien ik een crossover ervoor heb
staan, verder een prima geluid wat deze Yamaha ten gehore brengt.
Absoluut een aanrader.
Let wel op dat de diepte van de versterker best aan de maat is, houd hierbij rekening
met de maat van eventueel een flightcase.

Ik draai nu ruim een half jaar met de Yamaha P5000S en ik kan niks anders zeggen dan dat dit echt een top versterker is! Leverd netjes 525 Watt RMS(1 Khz) @ 8 Ohm (waarop ik momenteel draai). Qua bouw is deze versterker erg degelijk. Als je em in handen hebt, heb je zeker het idee dat daar weinig aan kapot kan. En het gewicht van 12KG valt dan best mee. De versterker is erg stil, aangezien de fans pas aan gaan als je langere tijd(uren) op vol vermogen draait en dan hoor je ze nog niet. De versterker heeft in- en uitschakelingsbeveiliging. Ook heeft de versterker een limiter die erg goed werkt. Voor de rest heeft de versterker een simpele low- en highpass filter en een speciale Yamaha speaker processing, die ik altijd aan heb staan. Dit haalt wat uit het midden weg en boost het laag en het hoog. Bij gebruik van full range speakers dus een erg goedklinkende optie! Ik gebruik de Yamaha met aangepaste DAP MC-15's(met compressie driver) en daar past deze versterker prima bij.
