General
The Midas Venice F-32 is more than just a compact live mixer, it is a full mixing, recording and editing module thanks to its 32-in/32-out Firewire audio interface. It offers the familiar analogue feel and warm sound with zero latency, combined with the flexibility of the use and selection of digital effect plugins. Not only is the F-32 compact, it is also very user-friendly. Its fader section is horizontal while all the other controls face you head on, allowing for a very clear overview.
Midas Venice F-32: compact yet expansive
The Venice F-32 features 24 mono inputs and 4 stereo inputs. You can use six aux buses and four sub groups as well as two stereo aux returns. The stereo channels of Midas' Venice F series have both a stereo XLR microphone input and a stereo 6.35mm jack input. You can directly route the line input to the master while using the microphone input of these channels for a microphone. Change the channel to mono mode and you have eight additional microphone inputs. Moreover, the Firewire connection allows you to send and receive 32 channels, so you can easily make multi-track recordings on your computer. This enables you to record the soundtrack of the band you're mixing and listen to the recording via the Venice F-32 while using the effect plugins on your computer.
Midas Microphone preamps
The microphone preamps inside the F-32 are of legendary Midas quality. These preamps are made of discrete components rather than computer chips and can withstand distortion. Each preamp features its own gain control, polarity switch, 80Hz high-pass filter and -20dB pad. Moreover, all channels have a Firewire switch that allows you to choose between digital and analogue in or out, and whether you want it pre or post EQ. You can turn the four-band tone control for each channel on or off. Naturally, each channel features a smooth, 100mm fader that allows you to comfortably set the perfect balance.
