The Apple Wireless Keyboard is a beautifully designed, compact wireless keyboard. It connects to your Mac or iPad via Bluetooth. This ultra-thin aluminium keyboard is powered by 2 AA batteries, which last a long time due to the energy-efficient design of the keyboard: it switches off automatically if you don't use it for a while. As soon as you start to type again, it switches back on.

The compact size of the Apple Wireless Keyboard
The Apple Wireless Keyboard takes up only little space on your desk. It is approximately 24 percent smaller than a regularly sized keyboard, leaving you with more room for your mouse, sound cards, controllers and other hardware. The flat aluminium housing has a nice feel and the keys are very responsive. Combine the Wireless Keyboard with the Magic Mouse or the Magic Trackpad by Apple and you can really enjoy a cable-free, clean desk.

Bluetooth and iPad
Your Mac communicates with the Wireless Keyboard via the Bluetooth facilities of both devices. You can connect the two in a couple of easy steps. Once connected, you can use the keyboard at a considerable distance. The Apple Wireless Keyboard is suited for any Mac with Bluetooth and for the iPad.
