To really hustle with the Eventide Omnipressor, you're going to need to get adventurous. This unit boasts some extreme dynamics so you can really put the audio through a mangle. Twist the Function pot to the left and engage the expander to magnify the accents in the performance, or push it to the right to trigger some explosive compression. While these are features that you're likely to get with most compressors, the Omnipressor takes things even further. The Infinite compression function is a prime example, which simply makes everything equally loud, giving the mix a heavy, pumping effect - a popular choice for treating the room mics and for parallel compression. If that's not extreme enough for you, then you can always go for the Dynamic Reversal option and make everything that was once quiet extremely loud, and everything that was once loud extremely quiet - pushing the details of an instrument right to front so you can hear the things you didn't even know were there.
