The super-modern Warm Audio WA-1B opto compressor has been based on one of the most legendary compressor units of all time. This uncompromising chunk of hardware offers two basic settings: Fixed and Manual. Flipped into Fixed, you get fuss-free old-school opto compression. Pull the Threshold down until the vocal or instrument you're treating sits perfectly in the mix, and set the level via the Gain pot. Flipped into Manual mode, you gain full creative control over the attack and release. Both controls boast a far faster response time than the opto compressors we're used to, making the WA-1b even more adaptable and flexible than the models that came before it.

Spullen van Warm Audio (mist je ze juist instelt) zijn bijzonder goed qua prijs / kwaliteit verhouding. En zo ook deze WA 1B. Vergelijken met het orgineel geen op of aanmerkingen. Het is mijn go-to pop vocal compressor. Ik kan het prijsverschil met het origineel niet terug horen. En klinkt beter dan de plugin versie van UAD.

Een absolute aanrader als je een (vocal) compressor zoekt die echt goed klinkt.
