Wrote the following about Hercules Stream 100 Live-Stream Audio Controller

Ik heb de Stream 100 gekocht met het idee eindelijk de "in-game" volumecontrols in de Firestorm viewer voor Second Life te bedienen. Het was vervelend telkens het menuutje te moeten openen en dan met de muis de balans tussen de achtergrond muziek en de inkomende voice-chat te moeten instellen. Ik wist niet of het zou werken, omdat ik nog nergens op een forum iets over deze specifieke toepassing had kunnen vinden. Nu, het werkt! Simpel de functie in de software toewijzen (viewer en voicechat) naar aparte kanalen. Mijn geluidsinterface is een Motu 828x en ik heb verschillende (windows) volume- en schakeltoepassingen toegewezen, maar als ik Wavelab gebruik om muziek te editten (Wavelab heeft alleen een Asio-driver), dan werkt de volumeregeling niet. Dus waarschijnlijk zit dat in de Asio-driver functie. Makkelijk bijzettertje dus voor verschillende toepassingen: hands-on regelen en schakelen. Heeft twee pagina's, dus eigenlijk 8 setjes van volumeregeling en schakelaars. De software laat zich heel eenvoudig instellen en fysiek is het apparaatje degelijk gebouwd; het kastje is zwaar genoeg en heeft anti-slip voetjes, dus schuift niet weg. Knoppen en toetsen voelen degelijk aan. Doet precies wat er verwacht wordt, prima ding!
