The Limited Edition Epiphone 1958 Korina Explorer has been built with the help of the Gibson Custom Shop to bring things all the way back to one of the golden ages of Gibson. A touch more affordable than the original icon, this faithful reincarnation features the same solid korina body and neck which have both been treated to an Aged Natural finish before being decked out with gold-plated hardware to complete a timeless, irresistible look. This six-string classic comes pre-wrapped in a hard case.

The Epiphone 1958 Korina Explorer: Gibson-Grade Sound

Korina wood isn't just sought after for its look but for its tonal quality, and here, it comes teamed up with a set of Gibson Burstbucker pickups to guarantee thick and chunky, rock-worthy output and pure and unadulterated Gibson-grade sound. The electronics are just as on point: from the Switchcraft selector switch to the CTS potentiometers and Mallory capacitor. Add everything up and you have an ultra-tight and reliable treat of an axe.

Prachtige gitaar, alleen al aan de muur zien hangen, maakt je blij - Klank heel goed, van zacht warm vol tot stevig metal - Mooie houtstructuur - Prima afwerking met goede componenten.
Paar opmerkingen - De hals (D-profile) is iets "volumineuzer" dan snelle C-profielen, maar went snel. Actie moest iets bijgesteld worden. De tone/volume controles zij niet echt lineair, maar faden vrij snel.

Comme l'avis précèdent, je confirme que cette guitare est très bien faite, la jouabilité (après petits réglages de hauteur de cordes) est parfaite, les détails de finitions et le rendu global sont vraiment remarquables, j'ai pu voir sa grande sœur Gibson qui coûte 10 fois plus chère, je peux vous garantir que cette Epiphone est largement à la hauteur du mythe 58'.
Côté jouabilité sans surprise la guitare est légère et équilibrée, le manche assez rond pourra sûrement rebuter les aficionados du slim taper.
Un dernier mot sur le case qui est énorme et lourd ! mais la aussi à la hauteur en terme de qualité et finitions.

Comme pour sa petite soeur la fying V (j'ai eu la chance de pouvoir commande les 2) très belle touche dans les nuances de bois, qualité de fabrication vraiment impressionnante et le son des micros BB Gibson. Tout cela dans un étui démesuré (c'est un compliment) de très bonne facture. Un profil de manche très agréable merci EPIPHONE pour la qualité de fabrication à un prix "accessible" ... et merci BAX pour le prix imbattable !!!
