Since vintage microphones can be a headache to maintain, the United Studio Technologies FET47 large diaphragm condenser has been built using New Old stock components so you get the best of both: vintage sound without the vintage fuss. Essentially loaded with the original parts of the original classics, the UT FET 47 has the phenomenally full sound of a genuine, German-made microphone that's more than a few decades old. And, just like the antique originals, this model features a high-pass filter and 10dB PAD. Use it to record vocals, use it to record acoustic instruments, and even place it outside the shell to record a kick drum.

Wrote the following about United Studio Technologies FET47 Large-Diaphragm Condenser Microphone

I've tried many mics in the 300-1000 range. When I became the owner of the UT47 fet, I stopped constantly looking for a microphone for myself. I recorded my voice and guitar, as well as other vocalists and violin. Everything is fine! When you don’t start looking for problematic frequencies during post-production, you can’t find them. The guitar sounds bright, the kick is powerful and punchy, if we talk about the station, this microphone is no worse than the Neumann, the Neumann has a darker sound, which is not always good and has to be processed more carefully in post-production. The UT47 is a microphone that justifies its price and actually gives you more than you pay for. I recommend this microphone, also this store has good service and a good price!
