The compact soundboard is made up of a solid red cedar top and Khaya sides and back. Wrote the following about LAG Guitars HyVibe 10 HV10-N-ACE E/A classical guitar with built-in multi-effect

I'm an experienced gigging guitarist and own a 1969 Gibson J50 and a Martin DXE. I also already own a Hyvibe 10 steel strung acoustic guitar. It is fantastic! It is now my GO-TO guitar above the other 2! Also abolutely the best for camp fire jamming!

It is an excellent guitar stand alone and worth the price, with a warm but bright tone and loud too, even though the body is slightly smaller than a dreadnaught size. The finish is great - very woody and great finish and action. The special effects are also excellent especially the reverb, echo and chorus and really enhance the already great sound both acoustically and plugged into a PA.

So I had high hopes for the Nylon string version. Once again, as a stand alone guitar it is excellent. However I felt that the built in effects were quieter and didnt cut through the original acoustic sound.

Maybe the strings being nylon are less trebly but the effects were too quiet even fully turned up. Also the distorted sound options dont sound very nice or useful with nylon strings and the echo was just too subtle for interesting arpegio experimentation and U2's Edge style music.

So I give the guitar 5 out of 5 but the effects a muted 3. I much prefer my old Yamaha cutaway flamenco guitar going through a pedal board which kind of makes the built in effects on the HYvibe a bit pointless.
