Plucked out of the later half of the '50s and firmly planted in the present, the Gibson Original Collection Les Paul Standard 50s, solid mahogany single-cut boasts an era-accurate playing feel founded on the slimmer, thinner Vintage '50s profile of the set-in mahogany neck. This all-American LP STD also bears a classic 12" fretboard radius, a rosewood fretboard, and a set of familiar medium jumbo frets to sure-up the fluid playing feel, while the stability is assured by the ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge, Aluminum Stop Bar tailpiece, and Vintage Deluxe Keystone tuners.

The Les Paul Standard '50s: Burstbucker Pickups

It nearly goes without saying that this classically styled Gibson LP solidbody comes finished with a maple top to complete a tonal foundation that hits that much-loved, warm and full, mid-frequency-rich sweet spot with precisely the right amount of definition. This is then firmly amplified by the mounted pair of double-coil Burstbucker pickups that shape that thick, robust and deliciously rough-edged humbucker tone, all fully backed up by the time-approved set of pots complete with Orange Drop capacitors and a 3-way switch.

Wat een schitterende gitaar. Prachtige kleur en een mooie nitro afwerking, om nog niet te spreken over de klank en de groovy humbuckers. En dat voor een hele competitieve prijs voor deze toch dure, maar super kwalitatieve gitaar. Zeker een aanrader om deze Gibson te kopen bij Bax Music.

Deze gitaar gewoon blind besteld, komt uit de Gibson fabriek. Met een beetje geduld en de goede afstelling naar je oren, kom je een heel end. Zo uit de box niks mis mee hoor... Neem de tijd, het zijn gevoelige elementen en het hout werkt nog een beetje als je een ander setje oplegt.
